Pedantic Anti-Piracy Post of the Day

This Torrent Freak post reminds me of one of my most insignificant pet peeves. The fight against piracy is often analogized to a game of "Whack-a-Mole," meaning that if you take out one pirate, another pops up right away. One problem: the arcade game that spawned the metaphor is spelled "Whac-a-Mole." Just as there's no "I" in "team," there's no "k" in "whac."

  1. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Guac-a-Mole, the most delicious arcade game of all?

  2. The title Whack 'Em All sounds like a ripoff of either The Sopranos or Metallica.
